Joan Watson, Catholic Speaker

All Topeka Parishes are Invited to Attend!

First Talk
"How to be a Jubilee People"

How do we celebrate the Jubilee if we cannot go on pilgrimage to Rome? Looking at the roots of the Jubilee Year in the Old Testament, this talk will examine how we are called to mercy and freedom, as well as giving practical tips for living this Jubilee in our daily lives.

Second Talk
"Life is a Pilgrimage, not a Highway"

One of the earliest places we find the word pilgrim in the Church is when Augustine describes the life of the Christian – our spiritual journey – as a type of pilgrimage. Approaching life in this way helps us to understand our struggles, our relationships, and our mission.
